Captain’s Log: Stardate 260418

I got a ton done today for work, and beyond work, not much else.

I have thought quite a bit about the faraway land of the Renaissance Waverly Atlanta Hotel and Convention Center, the place formerly known as the Cobb Galleria Center, Truist Park, the Battery, and the Cumberland Mall. I have thought about how to explain how such a place, an unplace, a manufactured absence of place, could manage to roll up so much meaning for someone who spent, relatively speaking, so little time there.

I have thought about those things for quite awhile and about how to express them in the written word. I am still thinking about thought and still not convinced of the answer. I am going to try, really try, to finish that thought tomorrow. Then in the week ahead, I hope to return to Earthsea.

Until next time.
