Captain’s Log: Stardate 260304

Alas, another day has slipped through my fingers with very little to show for it. I got a few things done for family and work, which are not to be discounted, but reading and writing went by the wayside again.

I can’t follow Le Guin’s writing schedule as I mentioned yesterday. My days and weeks are arrhythmic, and it’s hard to set five hours aside to write at any time, in bits and pieces or big chunks.

What I can do is set goals. I can aim for two hours of writing and an hour of reading on most days. We’ll aim for that tomorrow. Also starting this week, I’m going to try to do one of Le Guin’s writing exercises from Steering the Craft each week. I might even post the results here on Fridays.

That’s the rub. Look for a daily word count in my evening posts starting tomorrow. Until next time.
