I think I am now recovered from a big push at the day job, and tomorrow I should be back on track with reading and writing and anticipating baseball season. I’ve tried to be as useless as possible today in the pursuit of recovery.
I’m enjoying A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms more than I thought I would. I was getting burned out on the World of Ice and Fire, and this is a refreshing visit to the setting.
I am now behind on all the anime I was interested in following this season. I’ll be catching up with Frieren once I finish my reading tomorrow.
I loved the new Muppet Show. Sabrina Carpenter was the perfect choice of guest to try to get a revival rolling. (All due respect to Kermit and Miss Piggy, I would love to hear Sabrina cover “Islands in the Stream” with another proper vocalist. I would love to hear Sabrina Carpenter sing just about anything.)
I’ve also been watching Brandon Sanderson’s 2025 writing lecture series. I have tried to read one of his books and couldn’t get into it, but I have to say, I find his lectures incredibly insightful. I may have to give his works another go.
This is, perhaps, more useful than a half thought out Critical Role bit like last night’s entry, but it’s not much. Still, my pillows call.
