This post was almost an Appendix C article, but that just didn’t feel quite right. Nevertheless, thanks to Discord Friend Tom, I rediscovered the SilverClawShift Campaign Archives on the Order of the Stick forums, and it felt wrong not to share them.
I first encountered the archives six or seven years ago diving around the OotS forums for the first time. The archives are compilation of D&D 3.5 campaign retellings by user SilverClawShift, and they paint a neat picture of the true potential scope of a TTRPG game.
I’d never played a TTRPG when I discovered them, though prolonged exposure to the Internet and video games meant I was somewhat schooled in the concepts. These campaign retellings definitely set the stage for me actually picking up dice for the first time, and these are the kinds of stories I strive to tell as a Dungeon Master.
